SmartTalk Women's Speaker Series: Isabella Rossellini

No matter how bad—even terrible at times—it may seem out there in the world for women, beacons of hope can still be found. SmartTalk, founded by Bob Benia in 1991, is a travelling conversational series that seeks to "share the stories of incredible women who follow their own paths—undeterred by conventional thinking—to spectacular results by empowering all those around her." The basic premise is that women are most influenced by other empowered women. With that in mind, SmartTalk presents audiences with an opportunity to hear stories from and participate in discussions with the most successful women of this world. This Monday, actress, model, activist, author, filmmaker, and guide-dog-for-the-blind trainer Isabella Rossellini comes to the Twin Cities to discuss her life, her work, and her relationship with her father. Other speakers in this year's series include ABC news reporter Ann Compton and actress Sigourney Weaver.
Mon., March 7, 7:30 p.m., 2011
