Steve-O has been beaten, stapled, sliced, smacked, and set on fire. Now he's trying something even scarier: standup comedy. The Jackass alumnus is bringing his "Entirely Too Much Information" tour to Twin Cities this weekend, and he's got something to prove. "I've been clean and sober for a while now," he says. "It's important to me to prove that sobriety hasn't robbed me of my personality and made me a boring, lame sissy." After a well-documented struggle with substance abuse, Steve-O has had a creative resurgence the past few years, including stints on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Dancing with the Stars, and reuniting with his Jackass crew for their most successful outing to date, Jackass: 3D. Now he's trying his hand at standup, sharing tales from his life that he describes as "awkward and uncomfortable." "You get a lot of stories about my bedroom misadventures and other crazy stuff that's happened to me," he says. "It's been really rad though. People show up not really knowing what to expect, and I think they've been pleasantly surprised. That makes me feel really good." Just because he's sharpening his skills as a storyteller, however, doesn't mean he's done doing stunts. "I've got some bald spots right now from setting my head on fire onstage," Steve-O laughs. "Sobriety isn't changing that part of me. If you come out to the show, I guarantee you it's going to be wild, man." 18+; 21+ later shows.
