2nd Annual Vegan Chili Cook-off

Who says that herbivores can't throw down? Not Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA), who have asked 13 wily cooks to bring their best vegan chili recipes to be judged by a panel of experts and the public. Spend your evening sampling the animal-less crock pot comestibles and wash them down with some equally cruelty-free beer. CAA expects a decent turnout, as last year saw over 125 folks looking to spice up a chilly winter's night. Three talented winners will be crowned and given PETA-approved prizes. So leave your fur and leather duds at home for this night of chili competition and get warm with a community of people who are angling to make veganism both social and sexy. Let them inspire you to a deeper respect for creatures great and small as you fill your belly with the homespun creations by those vying for vegan supremacy. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available to mitigate the hot, hot veggie heat. More information is available at CAA's website, www.exploreveg.org.
