What better way to celebrate the pre-Valentine's Day weekend than with a dance/theater event in which Plato's Symposium, a child's ruminations on what we talk about when we talk about L-O-V-E, and a bunch of talented dancer/actors playing around with gender stereotypes collide? Stuart Pimsler's The Ends of Love laces smart talk with pathos, carefully honed movement with aggressive athleticism, and a thoroughly modern battle of the sexes with mythical tales of conjoined souls asunder. Original music by Michelle Kinney (of JelloSlave)—played live by Kinney, Jacqueline Ultan, and Park Evans— completes this bracing look at love and its discontents. It's a Valentine's Day treat that won't rot your teeth.(Photo by V. Paul Virtucio)
