Art Shanty Party: De-Iced

It's been a long, sad, harsh winter this year. And while this is mostly due to the cruel temps and insane amounts of snow that Minnesota has received, we'd like to think that the Art Shanty Project's hiatus has a little bit to do with it as well. The shanties are always a bright spot in the dead of winter, and with a few benefit parties, event organizers hope to bring them back next year. You won't have to bundle up to get your fix at this indoor party in the North Loop of Minneapolis, but you will be able to enjoy treats and activities from some of the most popular shacks. Folks can make Valentines for their lover—or their mom—at the Postal Shanty, snack on some fare from the ArtCar Taxi Shanty, and swap art and bring something fun home from the Art Swap Shanty. Get worked up and dance it off at the Dance Shanty or bust out that ball of yarn and needles and have a stitch 'n' bitch at the Knitting Shanty.
