World’s Toughest Rodeo

It's interesting to think about how something that began as a cattle-farming necessity has become an insanely popular, intensely dangerous sport—but it has. Be thankful that hay baling or crop irrigation didn't make it to the next level. This weekend, fans of animal wrestling, riding, and roping should be sure to check out the World's Toughest Rodeo, where competitors in the sport will vie for top honors (or mere survival). Come early for free pony rides, but don't be disappointed when they turn you away for not being 12 or under. Kiddies on Friday will also be treated to free cowboy hats while supplies last. Those looking for more entertainment after the show should stay for "Party in the Dirt," a concert that will feature country musician Jerrod Niemann.
