Classic-rock aficionados will want to check out this art and memorabilia show located in the skyway of the downtown Minneapolis Macy's. Here you'll find original artwork by musicians including Paul McCartney, Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, John Lennon, U2, and many others. Or take a trip down memory lane with photography featuring Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Bruce Springsteen. Gold records, gig posters, and album artwork will also be on view. During the event guests will be able to chat with artist Ron Campbell, who worked as an animator on the notoriously trippy Beatles flick, Yellow Submarine. Campbell's résumé is an impressive one; his later work includes the Saturday-morning cartoon The Beatles, as well as iconic shows like Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, The Smurfs, and Winnie the Pooh. He'll be at the art show throughout the week, and will even do some live painting for guests. All works on display will be for sale, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Smile Network.
