The winter months can be a tough time for golf enthusiasts, as it is a sport that requires green grass and nice weather. And although they won't be playing 18 holes on a warm summer day, fans of the sport can get a little fix this Saturday at the 'BEAR'ly Open golf tournament. Be sure to bring your clubs, and wear your warmest coat; players will be hitting balls on two nine-hole courses on ice. Afterward, warm up at the hot tent, which will have various foods to purchase and snack on. The event is more than sheer spectacle; all proceeds will benefit White Bear Lake food shelves.
