During the holiday season it is not unusual to have a few fights, be they between family members, store clerks, or drunken co-workers at the office Christmas party. Thankfully, most of the agitation subsides after New Year's Day, as we approach the Minnesota months that are better spent hibernating. Those looking for a little rowdiness that doesn't involve fights left unresolved since childhood should enjoy the Northstar Rollergirls' latest double bout, where you can let them sling the mud (and perhaps some elbows) instead. This month's game night has a speakeasy theme, so be sure to wear your most dapper '20s duds. Tonight's battle features the Violent Femmes against the Banger Sisters, and the Kilmore Girls versus Delta Delta Di. As usual, the games are family-friendly, but those looking for a little more grown-up fun should be sure to stop by Grumpy's (1111 Washington Ave. S.) afterward for the usual raucous after-party where audience and players mingle and share pints.
