For those who are not artists themselves, the period between having an idea and going public with the final product may seem difficult to imagine. Does it involve a sense of grave seriousness? Are there periods of intellectual torture? How about some last-minute cramming? Chances are all three of these things and more are factors, depending on the project and the artist. Now finishing its third year, the Salon Saloon continues to shed light on the creative process, from point A to B. In the past, the lecture series has featured casual, works-in-progress performances, with host Andy Sturdevant leading discussions in an informal talk-show format. The final show of 2010 will include guests Mike Haeg (a.k.a. the Mayor of Mt. Holly), Museum of Russian Art curator Masha Zavialova, author (and unofficial, enthusiastic Twins blogger) Anne Ursu, author Peter Schilling, artist Megan Vossler, and writer Geoff Herbach. Come listen as they talk about creative highlights from 2010. (Photo by Crystal Liepa)
