TV Party with Girl Germs: My So-Called Life

Girl Germs is a Radio K program that plays groundbreaking music created by female artists. While folks love to jam out to hosts Dana and Jenny's setlist each Tuesday and Saturday, the hosts have also been branching out into the bar scene. This summer, the duo hosted screenings featuring influential chicks in music flicks. This winter, the ladies will be celebrating another woeful rarity: strong female characters on the boob tube. The premiere installment featured a Daria marathon. Tonight's party will highlight the short-lived teen drama My So-Called Life. Starring Claire Danes as Angela Chase, the '90s show followed high school students as they explored the ins and outs of hair dye, friendship, and sexuality with a complexity yet to be seen on current teen hits. Drinks specials abound during this event as well: Select beer and cocktails, house wine, and Crispin Cider will set you back only $3 to $4.
