No matter, the joyous, ever-shifting 40-singer Minneapolis ensemble has been around for 40 years under the leadership of Gary Hines, with a multi-Grammy-winning run beginning in the '90s and a new album last year, the gospel-tinged, Obama-election-inspired The 3rd Gift: Story, Song & Spirit.
