Driving along in a warm car while looking at holiday lights is a tradition for many, but with tighter budgets, most of us don't want to waste a tank of gas. Thankfully, this ongoing light display features millions of twinkling, flashing, and syncopated lights all in one place. Load up the car with the kids and a thermos of hot cocoa, and gawk at displays from the comfort of your heated car (but with minimal driving). The cruise through Phalen Park is about half a mile, and includes moving sculptures at every turn, a total of more than 50. All proceeds benefit local charities Second Harvest Heartland, Under Construction, Saint Paul Parks Conservatory, and Union Gospel Mission. Visit here for more info.
