John Yau has published dozens of fiction, poetry, and art books (both books of art criticism and books that are themselves art objects). As a part of the ongoing Free Verse series, Yau will offer poetry and commentary to accompany the Walker exhibit "Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers." Klein was both a shaman and a showman, and Yau writes poetry "as lovely as it is strange," which describes (according to Publishers Weekly) "paintings not yet painted, photos not yet taken, and movies not yet made."
