Earlier this fall, I'm sure the folks at Brave New Workshop thought that invoking the name of Brett Favre would help draw attention to their holiday revue. Now after leading the Vikings to the near bottom of the NFL and bringing "sexting" to a broader audience, Favre seems absolutely perfect as a central theme for the latest piece of satire from the venerable troupe. Of course, the holiday show will be about more than just the Wrangler spokesman. Expect plenty of parodies of holiday "cheer" and the return of some old seasonal favorites. The current BNW ensemble is top notch, and the company is coming off its best show in years, Spilling Me Softly. Think of it as a shot of whiskey in the otherwise staid Christmas punch. Call for showtimes.
Thursdays, 8 p.m.; Fridays, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 7 & 10 p.m. Starts: Dec. 16. Continues through Jan. 29, 2010
