Food lovers looking to take a crash course in some of the best dishes on menus and in stores around town will want to check out City Pages' Iron Fork. During this event, dozens of restaurants serve up their tastiest recipes for guests to sample. Items to load on your plate this year include vegetarian dolma from Babani's Kurdish Restaurant, pumpkin cheesecake topped with port-infused cranberries from Barbette, and fresh oysters from Sea Salt. The highlight of the event will be the Iron Chef-style competition, where five pro chefs (plus one talented novice) will receive a secret ingredient to create edibles that make taste buds happy. New this year is the 4-Orange Iron Cocktail Competition, where bartenders from Prohibition and Chino Latino will battle for the ultimate booze title (and a trip to Miami).
