This moving version of Shakespeare's comedy interweaves drama and dance in a sinuous flow of movement. Its mischievous fairies, exotic woodland creatures, charmed lovers, and bumptious rustics flood the stage in a moonlit idyll where wit, invention, and real theatrical magic abound. Choreographer Jennifer Hart created the work in 2007 to critical and audience acclaim. Metropolitan Ballet's director Erik Sandborn brings it back for a much anticipated remount.
