Fourth Annual Minneapolis Bike Tour

Bikers beware: This year's nice biking season may end at any moment. Before you know it the wind will be blistering, the snow drifts will force you to cycle precariously close to traffic, and the pot holes will be epic. So in these coming weeks it's important to get the most out of your two wheels. The Minneapolis Bike Tour is an excellent chance to do just that. Last year the oldest bikers were over 61, the youngest under 10. This year the age diversity shall continue on two routes taking cyclists through the most scenic routes in Minneapolis. The lengthier course clocks in at about 40 miles and winds around several Minneapolis lakes, along Minnehaha Creek, and by the Mississippi River. The shorter route showcases Lake of the Isles, Lake Calhoun, and Lake Harriet. Adult riders are welcome to have an after-ride drink in the beer garden, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit Minneapolis's park system.
