D-Day for Bedlam's space is quickly approaching. Soon the hipster crowd, the queer community, theater folks, and others are going to be mourning the coolest venue in town with the most awesome rooftop deck ever. Before we say goodbye, we have a chance to shake our booties at the last BOMP! in the space. For the past year-and-a-half, BOMP! has offered an alternative to the downtown dance scene, with an eclectic mix of music styles, trippy video projections, and, of course, the late-night bar menu. For the final evening, DJs Shannon Blowtorch, Wes Winship, the Moon Goons, and Get Cryphy will be in the main room, while Rambo Salinas & Super Brush spin vinyl on the roof. Blowtorch has said that BOMP! will definitely continue at a new location, but they haven't announced where yet. Bedlam, too, will continue in the Twin Cities. For now, though, let's say goodbye to the place, the space, and the electric West Bank vibe of 1501 Sixth Street. Be sure to take the train, bus, or bike; the parking lot gets full quickly on BOMP! nights, and this one will be the biggest ever. 18+. (Image by Nesster)
