The Minnesota State Fair is a week away, but you can get a little fair fix early at tonight's Art Perchance benefit party. During the evening, guests can try their luck on nine different carnival-style games with an artsy twist (each was inspired by pieces from the M.I.A.'s permanent collection). If you have the skills, you may end up winning a donated piece of local art—a far superior prize to what you win at real carnivals. Local rockers the Alarmists will perform, and partiers can enjoy fresh air outdoors at Target Park while sipping cocktails from the cash bar. Proceeds from the night will benefit the Friends of the Institute. The evening is free, but if you go VIP you'll receive valet parking, gourmet fair food, and additional treats.
