High Heel Dash 2010

Everyone knows that a good pair of heels puts your best assets front and center. And while some people can barely walk in them (let alone sprint to a finish line), this Wednesday brave individuals will defy the stability of their stilettos for a good cause. Gals (and guys) can strut their stuff in the first ever Aegis Foundation High Heel Dash sponsored by Twin Cities Live, myTalk 107.1, Minnesota Monthly, l'etoile magazine, and partyunit.com. The dash promises to be a welcome break from the toils of the mid-week work grind. But there's no room for kitten heels here: Participants must sport heels three inches or more. Emcee Foxy Tann and myTalk 107.1's Lori and Julia will team up to commentate on the 25-yard dash heats. While only the skilled few can prance onwards to victory, all participants will be given an official t-shirt to commemorate the event. Sponsors are asking contestants to raise a minimum of $100 in order to secure a spot in the race. All benefits will go to www.Soles4Souls.org and www.emergencyfoodshelf.org, and participants and spectators alike are encouraged to donate gently used shoes and non-perishable food items.
