It's to this show's credit that, more than a month after seeing it, I recently found myself idly singing I can't stop this Prius anymore, I can't remember what I started stopping for (to the tune of REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling," itself a visitor from the past with an uncertain pedigree). Toyota is a lovely summertime diversion, then, the sort with all kinds of oddball instances that tickle in the moment, then linger in the musty attic of the mind. Lauren Anderson in her father's car comes to mind (singing along to sexy-time lyrics, to the galactic astonishment of dad Josh Eakright), or Ellie Hino's plaintive musical wish that she had transmitted a hearty case of herpes to an ex-lover (in character, of course). Some gifts just keep on giving.
