Gear up for the most bicycle-friendly fashion and music event of the season. OutSpoken will boast a night of beauties, bikes, and beats. The event features the hottest bike-centric eco-fashion, hip music, and more. Local bands MelloRoar and 36sunrise promise to set the stage for the night, playing gentle rock with a message. CounterCouture, which promotes fashion's evolution into a more sustainable industry, will premiere some of the summer's freshest bike-inspired looks, flaunting edgy and attractive designs that combine ready-to-wear threads with a hint of haute couture. CounterCouture exhibits the up-cycling fashion brilliance of Marissa Bridges, Katrina Elliott, Kristy Janigo, Allison Danzl, and guest designer Erika Langefels. However, OutSpoken isn't just about the runway. With a raffle sponsored by Yelp, attendees will have the chance to get a handle on some of the Twin Cities' best in art, fashion, and services. Screenprint artists Anthem Heart, jewelry and accessory revampers Vintage City Classics, and plenty of other local businesses have offered their super-trendy goods for the raffle. And with a suggested cover of $5 to $10 and free bike valet service, OutSpoken won't deflate any wallets. Even better: A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit Nice Ride MN, the country's largest bike share.
