This neighborhood street festival, hosted by Bryant-Lake Bowl, serves as an excellent warm-up to the weekend's pride-related events. Follow the crowds just around the corner from the BLB to the side street starting at Lake Street and Bryant Avenue. During the party, the stage will be filled with entertaining acts, including R&B group Black Blondie, rockers Sick of Sarah, hip-hop artists Guante & Big Cats, and emcee Foxy Tann. There will also be appearances by Dykes Do Drag, the North Star Roller Girls, b-boys and b-girls, and Familia Skateshop. All of the food dished up will be local and organic. Also cool: Anyone who donates cash or nonperishable food items to the Uptown Joyce Food Shelf will receive a free round of bowling. A portion of the proceeds from food and drink benefits OutFront MN.
