Much of Rogue Citizen's artwork is the stuff of nightmares: skulls with oozing eyes, angry octopuses, flaming dragons, and cyborgs—sometimes all in the same painting. But that doesn't mean you won't want to stop and stare. As scary as the subject matter is, it's also colorful, detailed, and sometimes downright beautiful. Past shows have included a live art creation at First Avenue, the "Ran . Art" party and gallery show at Tarnish and Gold, and the Art Squared party at Tillie's Bean. "Exquisite Robot" will focus on machinery and robots, including a space station run by a hamster on a wheel, machines with teeth interwoven with maggot-like creatures, and a winged beast with a boom box for a head and a heart of gold. The opening reception will feature live performances by Unicorn Dream Attack and John Keston from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 19.
