If you follow actor/comedian Denis Leary on Twitter, you may have gotten a sneak peak at what he's going to talk about when he comes to town with the Rescue Me Comedy Tour 2. "I'm doing the Twittering because—I should be honest—it's more competitive," he explains. "I started to see comedians that I know, my wife as well, doing it. I thought, 'I think of funny stuff every day. Steven Colbert's not the only guy.' Then I saw Conan go on, and I have to admit when I see Conan doing stuff, I'm always like, 'You know, I can do that.' I thought his stuff was really funny." The tour features Leary, supported by two of his co-stars from the TV series Rescue Me, Lenny Clarke and Adam Ferrara. Being busy with that program, Leary has little time to ply his standup trade, so this tour is a welcome opportunity. "Last year I used very large plasma screens in the hall and on either side of the stage where I could display pictures and newspaper articles that sparked ideas for me," he says. "I'll probably do the same thing this year. One of the things, obviously, we'll be talking about is the Catholic Church and Ben Roethlisberger. Just the idea of talking about Ben Roethlisberger—athletes who are criminally involved in illegal pursuits—that alone could probably give me 10 minutes of material. I think we can safely say whatever night you come, you're going to be entertained." Also with music by the Enablers, featuring the Rehab Horns.
