In My Life: The Artwork of John Lennon

Were John Lennon still alive, he would have turned 70 this year. Though the man himself is long gone, his legacy, art, and music live on. At this special three-day gallery show and benefit, you can check out artwork by the famous Beatle himself. Sketches, doodles, drawings, caricatures, and illustrations will be on display in a vacant building in downtown Wayzata. Artwork will be available for sale, and while admission is free, there is a $2 suggested donation. Proceeds from the show will benefit Smile Network International, which provides oral surgeries to children living in third-world countries. For more info visit www.johnlennonartwork.com.
Fri., May 21, 5-9 p.m.; Sat., May 22, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun., May 23, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., 2010
