If you've been waiting for an event that combines your love of fire juggling, the country's first bike freeway, and two-wheeled trivia, then Lyn-Lake's "Rides of Spring" street fest is for you. Of course, if you're one of the hipsters who isn't afraid to call the Uptown area your guilty pleasure, Calhoun Square renovation and all, you're also welcome. After a nearly decade-long hiatus, the festival returned last year, so if many of this year's musicians seem like returning favorites, they are. Home-grown talents E.L.nO., HarMar Superstar, and Mark Mallman will perform, as well as Sims from Doomtree (with Mike Mictlan and Lazerbeak) and the Mood Swings. Dozens of local businesses, art venues, and restaurants will remain open during the celebration. There are also the pre-festival 20- and 30-mile bike rides full of diversions along the way, both winding around the Chain of Lakes.
