There's no better way to spend a day refreshing your wardrobe—without putting a dent in your wallet—than to head to the Alter/Nation clothing exchange event. If you have gently used, fashionable duds that are on last year's roster, bring them into the MN Fashion headquarters, where you'll find the biggest clothing-swap party in town. For every piece you bring in, you'll receive a voucher that is good for one clothing item or an accessory in exchange. What's old to someone is new to you. You can also drop off your clothes early on Thursday, April 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and catch a glimpse of the goods before the kick-off. On event day, take part in the shopping spree while listening to DJ sets, getting dolled up by complimentary makeup and hair stylists, munching on snacks, and snapping pictures of your fabulous self in the onsite photo booth. Also, if you know your way around a sewing machine you can alter your new outfits or work with local designers, stylists, and sewing assistants to help make alterations, add embellishments, and change up the canvas.
