Kevin Nealon is best known for his tenure on Saturday Night Live in the late '80s and early '90s, during the show's second golden age, where he was featured as perhaps the most underrated anchor in the history of Weekend Update. His fake newscasts weren't as stylistically unique as those of Dennis Miller or Norm MacDonald, but they perfectly captured the empty-headed enthusiasm of TV newsmen and sold the sharp jokes as well or better than anyone since the segment's progenitor, Chevy Chase. Nealon has since stayed busy appearing in a slew of TV shows as well as movies with former SNL co-stars, but he's experienced a real career resurgence of late thanks largely to his hysterical portrayal of pot-addled city councilman Doug Wilson on the Showtime hit Weeds. He provides the voice of the title character on Nick at Nite's animated series Glenn Martin DDS, and last year released his first hour-long standup special, Hear Me Out. He also recently started hosting a weekly talk show on Tuesday nights at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. Expect his performance at House of Comedy to be loose, laid-back, and observational. 18+; 21+ later shows.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 10:30 p.m. Starts: April 8. Continues through April 10, 2010
