Human behavior goes ballistic as the Diavolo performers (a mix of dancers, gymnasts, rock climbers, and actors) interact with a variety of apparatuses. Ropes, wheels, and various ingenious mechanisms rock and roll the versatile performers, sometimes catapulting them through space, sometimes putting them through grueling obstacle-course ordeals. Combining risky athleticism, powerful images, and abstract narratives that take on issues like ecology and man vs. complex technology, Diavolo, a Los Angeles-based company, also injects some Hollywood pizzazz into the mix.
