For the past eight years, Once Upon a Crime—an Uptown bookstore specializing in crime, mystery, and suspense thrillers—has hosted Write of Spring, one of the most intense author events around. This Saturday, the tiny store will feature 52 authors doing in-store signings over a period of four hours. That's thirteen authors each hour. And though this festival will feature authors from around the country, the emphasis will be on Minnesota crime writers, many of whom have won awards and garnered accolades over the years. Novelists include Erin Hart, Laura Childs, William Kent Krueger, Monica Ferris, and, obviously, many others.
