Even if Minnesotans are unfamiliar with the name Adam Turman—at this point many certainly are aware of it—they are at least familiar with his artwork. For over a decade, the silkscreen-print artist has captured the Twin Cities social scene by creating gig posters for rock shows, paid homage to iconic landmarks like the Grain Belt and Gold Medal Flour signs, and drawn inspiration from the local bike scene, from wholesome events including city-wide bike tours to the more mature bike pub crawls. At this solo show, fans can check out 36 pieces by Turman, which will include new works in addition to classics. The opening reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 13, will be a very Minnesotan affair, with snacks from Pizza Lucé and Surly beer.
