Before mall food courts and g-chats at internet coffee shops became popular locations for teenage dates, there was that other super-romantic destination: the roller rink. Those were heady days in the '70s and '80s, when holding hands while skating around the rink to George Michael tunes was the ultimate in youthful foreplay. This Valentine's Day you can relive fond memories of past dates with your sweetheart or experience the charm of a roller date for the first time at Save Your Valentine. The music will be '80s-themed, and those looking to have a little fun with their wardrobe should use the day-glo decade as inspiration. Whether you're holding hands with your love or holding on to the wall for dear life, the experience should be entertaining. The MN RollerGirls will also make appearances during the event, which will be held at two locations. Proceeds benefit the 1 in 8 Foundation for breast cancer awareness.
