Featuring new works and old favorites by choreographer Judith Brin Ingber, musician/composer Alex Lubet, and several guest artists, this performance tells stories from the Jewish and immigrant experience through dance, music, prose, and visuals. Highlights include the superb Colette Illarde performing Ingber's "Stepping into Heaven," inspired by artist Georgette Sosin's work, which will be on display in the Tychman Shapiro Gallery. Comedic dancer Stuart Pimsler will perform his solo, "Schvitz," wherein he sweats profusely while encountering deceased male relatives in a steam room. The spoken-word group Gobrosis broadens the immigrant experience to include the Hmong.
Thursdays, Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Jan. 28. Continues through Jan. 31, 2010
