Did you know that January is National Soup Month? Strange, but true. And now that you know, you've got only two days left to celebrate. It's probably a good idea to check out the annual Soup Cook-Off at Midtown Global Market. During this mini-festival, guests will be able to taste soups made only from items found within the market from restaurants including Salsa a la Salsa, Andy's Garage, Holy Land Grocery and Deli, Pham's Deli, and the Salty Tart, among others. Vote for your favorite, and be sure to take a few recipes home. Admission donations benefit Perspective Kid's Café, which provides nutritional and self-esteem programs for at-risk youth. $3 suggested donation. (Photo by avlxyz)
