The Last Holiday Turkey

Hopefully by the time you read this you and your family will have consumed all of the leftovers from Christmas dinner. If not, they probably got shoved so far back that you won't find them until you clean out the fridge around April. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to have a piece of rotting turkey meat, moldy cranberry sauce, or packages of dried-out sugar cookies in the fridge. In an effort to raise funds for families in need, Bryant-Lake Bowl will host a bowling tournament this Sunday. Participants are asked to pay a mere $10 each, plus a nonperishable food item (donate more if you can). What that gets you is a round of bowling, shoe rental, appetizers, a pint of Fulton's Sweet Child of Vine IPA, and a free round of bowling the next time you visit. It's a good deal, and it's for a good cause. Proceeds benefit the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf. Call to register, or visit fultonbeer.com/zencart.
