Martini & Olive Unzipped: A Tribute to Tony Martini

This Thanksgiving saw the passing of Grant Richey, a gifted and generous performer and teacher who took on a wide variety of roles on numerous Twin Cities stages. Tonight and tomorrow he'll be remembered for his daft creation Tony Martini, half of the lounge act Martini and Olive, a song-and-dance duo who kept their tongues permanently lodged in their (own) respective cheeks. Lorna Landvik as Anita Twist joins Judy Heneghan as Olive, along with the Swizzle Stick Dancers, in what promises to be a boozy, uninhibited celebration of life, laughter, and getting one's off-key and deeply silly groove on. Richey leaves a wide galaxy of warm and heartfelt memories, and this year will end with the creation of a few more.
Mondays-Wednesdays, 7 p.m. Starts: Dec. 28. Continues through Dec. 30, 2009
