Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean you can't head out on the town like any other Friday night, right? Though many places will be closed today, the Triple Rock will be opening its doors (and, most importantly, the bar) for this special holiday installment of Staraoke Karaoke. Perhaps the hippest karaoke night around town (no, that is not an oxymoron), Staraoke offers a fat book of songs ranging from hip hop to country standards to '80s classics for singers to choose from. The bar opens at 8 p.m. with music at 9 p.m., which is just late enough to be able to sneak out of the house after spending time with the family. Or bring your favorite uncle for a duet. Nothing brings families together quite like off-key, drunken singing.
