Making Spirits Bright

Looking for something wholesome to do after taking your grandma out shopping? Or to entertain the kids who are home more now that it is Christmas break? A trip out to the Arboretum may be just what you need. Throughout the season there will be special festive displays to put families in the mood for the holidays, including decorated trees that give off that wonderful pine scent, tea tastings, and a display of gingerbread structures far more impressive than the one you order each year from the Colony House. Certain days will also feature live carolers and other musical performances. On weekends throughout the month of December, children can make tasty treats including their own gingerbread houses and scratch 'n' sniff holiday cards, and plant a ginger root to nurture and take care of.
