Gods and Monsters

Though the theaters never lack for scary movies each year, 33Design Gallery's current exhibit, "Gods and Monsters," focuses heavily on the more iconic characters, villains, creators, and sociopaths from the past. It's a little less Wes Craven and a little more Alfred Hitchcock, Bela Lugosi over Stephen Moyer, and creepy twins over tortured teens. For this group show, artists were asked to create pieces inspired by their favorite horror flicks and directors well versed in terror. Participants include tattoo artist Zack Kinsey, the colorful and whispy work of Deuce 7, and the always creepy, fairytale-esque paintings of Alex Kuno, among others.
