Life is good for comedian Rob Little. "Just got done golfing in L.A.," he says. "How cool is that?" Yes, things are going well for the Michigan native. He'll appear on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien this month, and he's taping a Comedy Central special next year. Plus, he was almost a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Almost? "I was going in August, and I was moving my mom out to my apartment in L.A., and I was going to move to New York." Politics got in the way, however. Not SNL or NBC politics, but the real thing. "Sarah Palin came out and ruined it all," he laughs. "They brought back Tina Fey, Chris Parnell, Maya Rudolph—there was no room for anyone new. This year they were only looking for girls." So Little soldiers on doing standup, talking about life and the things he remembers from being a kid. "Remember when we'd have movie day? That was the day you knew teacher was hungover. You'd come into class and his head would be down. 'Lights out, we're watching a movie!'" 18+; 21+ later shows.
