Sad that you missed out on Whiskey Fest at the Happy Gnome last fall? At this special event at Brit's Pub in downtown Minneapolis, regular drinkers and those who are whiskey-curious can sample from an interesting variety of brands. Guests can learn a little about popular, new, and rare Scotch and whiskeys with Liam Scott of Pernod USA leading the way as your guide. Available for drinking will be the always popular, and perhaps most familiar, Glenlivet. Participants can try the creamy/smokey French Oak and Glenlivet Nadurra, which uses old-school techniques for aging Scotch. Others on the menu tonight include 16 year Scapa, 12 year Jameson, Powers Irish Whiskey, and the super-rare Welsh brand Penderyn Single Malt. Enjoy appetizers from the buffet in-between samples.
