Lowertown Art Crawl

This monthly bar and gallery hop kicked off last month with live performances, art, and drink specials. Again this Friday, Lowertown residents and guests can start the weekend off right as businesses and studios open their doors with special activities, demonstrations, and opportunities for elbow-rubbing. Perhaps the most spirited (or least?) location for this event will be the Tilsner Artist Cooperative (Kellogg Boulevard and Broadway Avenue), which will be throwing an event dubbed the "Anti-Holiday Show" (promised to be completely Santa-free). Visitors can check out art by Scott Bergmann, Andrea Cole, and Tim White while listening to music. Other participating venues include the Jax Building, Northern Warehouse, the AZ Gallery, and Peach. For before or after studio-hopping we recommend that you stop on over to Black Dog Café. Though they haven't announced their drink specials yet, last month featured deals on Summit beer and house wine. (Pictured: Art by Andrea Cole from the Anti-Holiday Show)
Fri., Dec. 4, 6-9 p.m.; Fri., Jan. 8, 6-9 p.m.; Fri., Feb. 5, 6-9 p.m.; Fri., March 5, 6-9 p.m., 2009
