"I have an allergic reaction to hard work," laughs comedian John Wessling. "I thought long and hard, and did the research. How can I make a living by just talking in public? And luckily I was funny, otherwise I would have had to have been a defensive driving instructor." A standup comic for the past 14 years, Wessling also found another way to make money talking in public when he became a fill-in weekend host on a Houston sports radio station. "Offstage I've been involved in sports all my life. One day my chocolate was in my peanut butter and I started doing more sports comedy stuff. Now the sports stuff is getting more and more into my stage act as well." He also talks about being a parent, and has noticed a change in his point of view over the years. "My act has gone from me being the man-child complaining about my parents onstage to 'Oh my God, I'm starting to become like my parents, and now to 'Oh my God, I'm a parent and I was jerk when I was a kid.'" 18+; 21+ later shows.
