Minnesotans love their wintertime activities and, once again, downtown St. Paul's Landmark Plaza is being converted into an outdoor rink for visitors to skate upon. And it's pretty cheap, too. Bring your own skates and it's free, rent a pair for two dollars, or, if you bank at Wells Fargo, flash your check or credit card for a free rental. If you get too chilly, partake of the hot chocolate and snacks in the warming house. Be sure to check out the 60-foot-tree sparkling with lights over at Rice Park as well. The rink also makes a perfect date destination or afternoon with the kids.
