2009 IBEW Holiday Lights in the Park

Ever find yourself driving around a neighborhood looking for the brightest lights and most brilliant decorations in the Twin Cities? We can guarantee the holiday twinklers in Phalen Park are a sure thing. Pile the family or roommates into the car, bring a little hot chocolate to share, and enjoy the light show without having to freeze outside à la Holidazzle. Throughout the 1.5-mile route, guests will find over 50 huge light displays and moving sculptures to dazzle the eyes. And though a regular old cruise through the neighborhood is free (except for the gas you use trying to find the best-lit areas), this light show is for a good cause. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit local charities, including Second Harvest Heartland, Union Gospel Mission, Saint Paul Parks Conservatory, and UnderConstruction.
Nov. 24-Dec. 31, 5:30-10 p.m., 2009
