Martha Graham Dance Company

Dancers from the Martha Graham Dance Company use their bodies to the fullest during performances, but Clytemnestra also engages the mind. It explores the classic Greek tale featuring twists and turns through betrayal, murder, revenge, and eventually, redemption. The three-act performance originally debuted in New York City in 1958. Hailed at the time as a masterpiece, Clytemnestra has endured over the years as a benchmark in modern dance. This production features set design from sculptor Isamu Noguchi, music by Egyptian composer Halim El-Dabh, and lighting by Jean Rosenthal. (Photo by Photo by Costas)
