Tonight's revolution is less combative, more philosophical. Meaning that, rather than celebrating fighting, this party will honor the types of things that inspire artists: beauty, freedom, truth, and, of course, love. Like any good artists' revolution, this one will also feature fashion. Appearing on the runway tonight are designs by corsetry experts Scoundrelle's Keep, cool goth wear by Apatico and Blasphemina's Closet, Megan Maude's adorable Little Bo Peep-style dresses, and works by KMKostumes, whose period threads would dazzle any Renaissance Festival or steam-punk celebration. Special performers include the seductive Kajal Belly Dance troupe and burlesque act Tomahawk Tassels. There will also be music by Sawbones, and Dr. D. Volos Tinkerpaw will emcee. Guests can have their pictures taken at the photo booth, and bid on items during the silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Civil Society of Minnesota, which provides services for abused immigrants, human-trafficking victims, and others who may have trouble reporting crime due to language barriers.
