Comedian Doug Benson is well known for his love of marijuana. His opener, however, couldn't be more different. "We're kind of like a modern-day odd couple," says comedian Graham Elwood, "because he smokes marijuana, and I don't drink or smoke at all." Elwood describes his act as energetic, covering topics like martial arts, snow boarding, and other physical activities. "Things that Doug, being the stoner, doesn't do," he laughs. In addition to doing standup, Elwood has also hosted a few cable game shows. His real love, though, is film and crime drama TV series from the '70s. "I made a short film, Hello Junkie, a few years ago," he says. "We won some awards. I'd really like to make it into a feature-length film, or a TV show. That would be great." He hopes to get a different type of comedy tour going soon. It's based on a series of shows he's doing at the Hollywood Improv. "It's a night of standup comedy and short film," he explains. "We'll have a comic, then a short film." He's also hoping to turn the idea into a TV show. "Sort of a cross between At the Movies and The Daily Show." 18+. (Photo by Dan Dion)
